- Discussion/Possible Action: General Manager reports overview of EWID The budget and expense report included costs for repairing a main break, travel expenses for attending a grant meeting, the purchase of a new printer to replace a non-functional unit, cement for reinstalling the fence at Gleeson Well, and new shut-off valves for system maintenance. Additionally, a payment of $375 was made to Luther for financial services. On the financial front, an IRS advocate will assist in resolving outstanding filing issues, aiming to reduce the situation to a penalty only. The grant application was approved and is expected to be released within approximately 30 days. Operations continue to run smoothly, with positive feedback from customers who were notified in advance of water shut offs for leak repairs.
- Discussion/Possible Action: 15 Minute Zoom Meeting with Tyler Woodard from Primary Water Technologies LLC Tyler provided an overview of his work at Primary Water Technologies LLC. His role involves locating underground water sources and determining the optimal placement for wells. Using advanced techniques, he analyzes how water interacts with light, mapping its movement through latitude and longitude data. By listening to Earth’s vibrations and imaging subsurface fractures, he identifies weak spots where water flows through cracks. This methodology enables precise water source detection. Additionally, he submitted a sample report for review for the council board members to view.
- Discussion/Possible Action: Field Operators Report Brian reported that four meters were installed that did not provide accurate readings, leading to their replacement. Meter covers were also replaced after being damaged. The fence at Gleeson was reinstalled, and one hydrant remains to be installed.
- Discussion/Possible Action: Discuss the creation and implementation of policies for business It was discussed that creating a customer policy book would be beneficial to ensure transparency and consistency in enforcing policies. The plan is to review existing policy books from other organizations, develop a version tailored to the company, and integrate it into the existing employee policy book to maintain a single, comprehensive document.
